Colon Street is considered to be the oldest street in the Philippines. It is in the heart of downtown Cebu City and as the traditional commercial district of Cebu City, it has hundreds of street vendors hawking everything from clothing to hygiene products to music and movies. In the past several years, some of the Colon Street's importance has decreased as much of the shopping district has moved to shopping centers like SM City Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu, however the area remains a bustling focal point of commerce.
